About Whitcomb House Assisted Living Facility
Whitcomb House is an assisted living residence serving the elderly and those with memory impairments due to Alzheimer's disease, strokes and other causes.
Assisted living is a special combination of housing, personal support services and care designed to help those who need help with daily living but do not need a nursing home. Assisted living seeks to preserve the dignity, independence and safety of residents.
The most valuable benefits come to residents from eating three healthy meals a day, taking medication as prescribed, feeling safe and having the daily company of staff and fellow residents.

Chris, We can't thank you enough for all you and your staff have done to care for [Name Omitted] and to support us through the various processes around admitting her, moving her to the MCU, etc. over the past three years. We have "too much experience" at this point with various facilities, given that we have been caring for our 4 parents in addition to Aunt [Name Omitted], so it is with a well educated frame of reference both personnally and professionally that I say to you that the level of caring, patience, compassion and committment shown by your staff to your residents is unparalleled. And, frankyly, other facilities are more costly than Whitcomb, so the value you offer is also exceptional. If I can ever be helpful if you need a reference from a family member for anything, don't hesitate to ask. Gratefully, and our best to you and Pam. Anne & Ron
Whitcomb House Review - "...I have witnessed first hand on a number of occasions the kind of care and comfort that staff provides..."

I want to send along this note of thanks to you and your staff at Whitcomb House. During the past few months I have come to know and witness the kind, compassionate and knowledgeable staff throughout your organization, from Karen at the front desk, Ron and Blair in maintenance, Barbara and the many caring aides, as well as Flo' in the hair salon. I'm sure your realize the comfort you and your staff provide for the residents themselves as well as their families, but I still wanted to share this with you. As you know, I have a particular fondness for the residents in Memory Care and wish to thank that staff in particular in their role in taking care of my mother. Again, I have witnessed first hand on a number of occasions the kind of care and comfort that staff provides to all of the residents. Their efforts and the way they interact with the residents show a genuine concern and interest in the well being of everyone.
Wonderful Review of Whitcomb House!

We are both clinical psychologists and have had experience before with assisted living facilities. We want to tell you how utterly impressed we were with Whitcomb House, the staff, the program, the physical set up and the atmosphere you have created for the senior residents.
It was a bit of a struggle to persuade our mother to move from her assisted living place in Florida to this part of the country, but it only took her three days before she was exclaiming how much she loved her room and the people there. We we made some special requests, re: medicines, hearing aids, etc. the staff bent over backwards to facilitate her care. Everybody was so friendly not just to her, but to us all as well.
We kept congratulating ourselves for being smart enough to have chosen Whitcomb House for her placement, but as professionals in the health care field, we know that it has taken a lot of planning on your part to have created such a wonderful residence. We were especially struck by the high staff morale.
And our mother, who was at times a very critical person about 'northern cooking,' kept telling us how excellent were the meals at Whitcomb House. In all of her 96 years, we have never seen her so happy.
